A quick overnight in Quorn, South Australia

A quick overnight stop in Quorn, South Australia gave us the opportunity to do the Quorn Railway Station Yard Heritage Walk.

The Railway station plays host to the local tourist information Centre, and the staff are very helpful in pointing you in the right direction. We started with a look through the free museum to learn about the history of the railway line in Quorn.

Following this we did the self guided tour, which was well worth it.  Going back in time and being able to walk through the station area over the tracks was very unique (just remember to look out for trains!).

If you have the time it is also a great idea to call ahead and arrange for one of the volunteers to meet you at the Pichi Richi Railway Workshops, and you can take a tour around and even see some of the steam engines that they have.

The link for the self guided walking tour can be found here.
