    Share Share Comments comments

Trekking can be a fantastic way to take in some of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. From Peru to France, take note of some of our top rated treks.

    Inca Trail, Peru

A list of the world’s best treks wouldn’t be complete without the Inca Trail, one of the most popular hiking adventures in South America. The 43km trip is incredible popular due to the beautiful mountain scenery and ancient history, with fascinating relics and ruins along the way. And at the end, you’ll reach the magnificent Machu Picchu, the 15th century home of the Inca people. The best time to visit is during their dry season, May-September. Your personal travel manager can help with identifying the right questions to ask before deciding on a trekking company; you’ll want to find out prices, how much you’ll have to carry, and the tent set-up.

    Toubkal Circuit, Morocco

This spectacular trek will take you through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The Atlas Mountain range stretches the length of Morocco. Take the incredible circuit trek, or climb to the summit. You’ll receive a friendly welcome from the local Berber people, and see their villages alongside the clear blue Lake Ifnini. There are campsites on the lake’s shore. Perhaps the most amazing part of the Toubkal Circuit is the far-reaching views from the mountain. In the right weather, you’ll be able to catch glimpses of the distant Sahara Desert.

    Cradle Mountain, Australia

For something special, visit Cradle Mountain in Tasmania’s stunning Lake St Clair National Park. A world heritage wilderness area, this stunning site offers many hiking trails that take in the alpine heathlands and lush rainforest. Many visitors come to the National Park for its well-known Overland Track. This six-day walk takes in some of the most impressive parts of this location. You’ll need to pay a fee to walk the track, although this helps support the park’s upkeep and maintains the park facilities.

    Langtang Region, Nepal

Nepal is known for its stunning natural beauty and spirituality. Trekking through the Langtang Region will take you past Buddhist monasteries, wonderful nature reserves and allow you to soak in magnificent views from peaks reaching more than 15,000 feet above sea level. If you’re heading to the region, there are many trekking options. Your personal travel manager can help you find a trek that goes up the Langtang valley, through the Kyangin Gompa Buddhist village, known for local delicacy, Yak Cheese. The Langtang national park is also home to the Gosainkunda lakes, a sacred Hindu. An ideal time to visit is between October-November, the beginning of the dry season.

    Mont Blanc, France

Translated into English, “Mont Blanc” means the “White Mountain”. The highest peak in the Alps, it extends more than 4800m above sea level, and offers some of the most magnificent vistas of the Alps. There are a number of towns surrounding Mont Blanc; Courmayeur in Aosta Valley, Italy; Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, France, worth visiting before or after a trek. The full Mont Blanc circuit crosses the borders between France, Switzerland and Italy, and can take up to 15 days to complete. You’ll take in massive glaciers, jaw-dropping views, and fairytale villages as you traverse this incredible part of the world.
