The French Quarter
Also known as the Vieux Carré, the French Quarter is the oldest neighbourhood in New Orleans and sits on a crescent along the Mississippi River. As the city’s cultural hub, you’ll often find the locals out and about and taking the time to welcome visitors–a custom that makes you feel like everyone’s your friend.
The Garden District
A dynamic community grounded in a strong sense of tradition, the Garden District is famous for its sophisticated homes, luscious gardens and stylish setting. The Garden District has been featured in countless movies and film projects and a self-guided walking tour can lead you past the current and former homes of celebrities such as Anne Rice, Peyton Manning, John Goodman, and Sandra Bullock.
Mid-City
Mid-City is the heartbeat of New Orleans. It attracts fewer tourists than the French Quarter, but holds its own when it comes to interesting things to see and do.
Stop by the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) and view a fine collection of Fabergé eggs and jewellery; visit the home and studio of French Impressionist Master, Edgar Degas (Degas House Historic Home Courtyard and Inn); and explore the many elaborate crypts, such as Saint Louis Cemetery.

Café du Monde
Café du Monde is famous for its café au lait, beignets (sugar coated fritter), and the opportunity to people watch. Offering a sense of history and a delicious baguette, you can find this gem in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
