My son Billy.

In December 2023, I had my first child, Billy. My husband and I were instantly in love, as most parents are! Billy was a wonderful baby and is a very happy toddler. As he grew, we noticed some things that we thought we should get some medical advice for. In April 2025, Billy was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called FoxG1.

Matt and I are avid travellers. We’ve both travelled far and wide in this world, from rural Vietnam to the busy metropolis of London. We love hiking, especially multi day hikes, visiting new cities and experiencing different cultures. We always planned to travel with our kids and are determined to hold to that.

We had our first overseas holiday as a family in October 2025, taking Billy and our 9-month-old daughter to Queenstown. We had a fantastic trip, but it involved a bit more planning than the standard family vacation. In addition to everything you need travelling with babies, we also took Billy’s Firefly Go To (supportive seating) with us and used this on board our Virgin Australia flight to hold Billy in his seat. I packed a Jenx table in a suitcase full of Billy’s toys, special formula and feed thickener. We managed to be able to use our disability parking permit in Queenstown which made getting around alot easier!

Travelling with a disability adds a layer to your planning. It could be a simple layer, or more complex. As a Personal Travel Manager, and a Mum to a beautiful boy who requires extra assistance, I’m here to make sure your trip as seamless as possible.
