Luxurious Island Escape Opens off the Coast of Phuket

Just off the coast of Phuket in Thailand, a new five-star resort has opened, offering epic ocean views, stunning waterfalls, lush gardens and not one, but three private beaches. The resort, Island Escape by Burasari, is on the tropical island of Koh Maphrao (or ‘Coconut Island’).

Designed with spontaneous romance and happiness in mind, it’s one of only two resorts on the island, and the first of its kind to combine luxury with a ‘‘feel at home’’ concept”.

Koh Maphrao has approximately 1,000 residents living on the island, and is just a five-minute long-tail boat ride from Phuket. From Koh Maphrao’s main pier, Island Escape by Burasari’s private speedboat will transfer guests to the resort on the southwestern shore of the island.

Island Escape by Burasari features a mix of one- to four-bedroom private villas. Each villa designed using natural materials to create a sustainably yet luxurious space.

The resort has four separate areas, which interconnect at easily accessible points. Guests (including children) can enjoy the resort’s pools and beaches, lush gardens, spa and wellness programs and adventure excursions. Couples on a romantic getaway can enjoy privacy and peace at the adults-only cascading lagoon.
