Iconic Raffles Hotel Reopens in Singapore
Raffles Singapore embarked on a delicate three-part restoration back in February 2017, fronted by acclaimed interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud and leading global architecture and design firm, Aedas. The iconic hotel has now been restored to its former glory, with some exciting luxury additions.
With the addition of three suite options, Raffles now offers nine suite categories for guests to choose from – Studio Suites (new), State Room Suites, Courtyard Suites, Palm Court Suites, Personality Suites, Residence Suites (new), Promenade Suites (new), Grand Hotel Suites and Presidential Suites.
And it’s not just the suites that are new: the Raffles Arcade has been updated to include new bespoke retail brands, along with new bars and restaurants. Guest can also enjoy some updated old favourites, like the popular Long Bar (serving the best Singapore Sling in, well, Singapore).

Luxury Hotelier Announces the Opening of French Ski Palace
Mademoiselle Val d’Isère will be the third property in France for luxury hotelier Airelles, following Les Airelles in Courchevel and La Bastide in Gordes. Set to open on 19 December 2019, Mademoiselle will be the only luxury hotel in Val d’Isère to offer ski-in, ski-out access.
The new five-star hotel sits at an altitude of 1,850 metres, with a design that’s inspired by the grandiose style of the medieval period. Reminiscent of a medieval castle, Mademoiselle will feature nine suites and five private penthouses, each with their own dedicated butler. It will also feature the largest spa in the village, a gallery of boutiques and a 70-square-metre cinema.
