Virgin Atlantic has finally divulged the details of its new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. This long-awaited aircraft, named Red Velvet, features a new upper-class cabin with new suite and social space.

Designed in collaboration with some of Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyers, the new suite offers the largest-ever in-flight entertainment screen (18.5″), which can be controlled by guests’ personal devices.  Every seat faces a window and has deployable privacy screens and all suites offer a seamless transition from upright to bed.

The social space, called The Loft, is the largest in the airline’s fleet. It has been stylishly designed with guests’ needs and wants in mind. The space offers Bluetooth headphones which connect to a 32″ screen, so guests can kick back and relax, watch a show or the live tail-cam, chat with other flyers or drink and dine in The Loft.

    Daydream on Daydream Island

Daydream Island Resort has reopened its doors on 15th April after a 24-month renovation, following the devastation caused by Cyclone Debbie in 2017.

The much-loved resort offers 227 stylish suites and rooms overlooking the ocean, pool or gardens. While all the newly-renovated rooms are stunning, the Deluxe Room is something else. These light-filled rooms offer a chic interior design and soothing colour palette, and have been kitted out with rain showers and amenities from Biology: an Australian brand that specialises in eco-awareness and environmentally-friendly products.

Guests are spoilt for choice, with three new restaurants and three new bars – include the opportunity to dine overlooking the resort’s signature experience: the Living Reef. The Living Reef is a massive, free-form coral lagoon that’s home to over 100 species of fish, coral and invertebrates. Guests can take a guided swim through the lagoon or join the marine team in feeding the baby stingrays and learning about marine animals and ocean conservation.
