Get the VIP treatment at Bali’s hottest new beach club

Finns VIP Beach Club is the ultimate Balinese beach club. Taking ‘beach chic’ to a whole new level, Finns VIP, a new beach club in Bali, is offering its guests exclusive access to its ‘Party Pod’ daybeds.

The prime location isn’t their only appeal: the daybeds themselves are far from ordinary, designed as ‘islands’ or large circular pods that extend from a shallow pool and come with lockable ports in which to store your valuables plus USB chargers to keep those devices charged and ready for all the Insta-worthy moments.

With only 16 daybeds available, they are a hot commodity and must be booked in advance.

Paper is out, iPads are in at Auckland’s Crowne Plaza

The Crowne Plaza Auckland have launched a paperless system for guests checking in and out of the hotel. Changing the traditional, paper-heavy check-in and check-out processes to using a mounted iPad, the Crowne Plaza are focusing their efforts on sustainable tourism practices.

The iPads will store guest reservation details, which can be checked and signed using a stylus pen at the front desk. After guests have checked in, a billing statement will be sent electronically via email.

The Crowne Plaza expecting to eliminate approximately 500,000 sheets of A4 paper annually.

This sustainable movement follows the hotel’s ‘Greener Stay’ program where guests can opt-out of housekeeping in exchange for IHG Reward Club points, the discontinuation of plastic straws and recently, testing multi-use bathroom amenities to reduce single-use plastics.
