I’m a Kiwi Melbournian, born in New Zealand now calling Melbourne home.
I enjoy active holidays, sometimes off the beaten track on my bike, sometimes urban hiking in a city, sometimes hiking in the countryside but always with food and local wine / gin / sake involved. My last trip, in March 2023 I spent 5 days walking and eating my way around Tokyo, a perfect urban hiking holiday which you can see on my website here
As a Personal Travel Manager, my goal is to add value to your travel planning and ensure you have an amazing, memorable and seamless travel experience. I live by the mantra ‘I don’t know what I don’t know’ which is why travel is such a rewarding experience.
December 2022 saw my family and I do a ‘Big City Tour Itinerary’ to Tokyo, New York and Washington DC, three cities in three weeks. Too many highlights to mention here, you can see them on Insta @helenrolton_travelmanagers.
Also in 2022 the Dining Hikers walked and ate our way around The Coromandel, New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula followed by a few days riding The Hauraki Rail Trail and a twilight kayak to the glow worms on Lake Karapiro.
I’ve ridden The Central Otago Rail Trail and The Great Taste Trail and work with local cycle tour operators throughout New Zealand to create cycling holidays for clients.
Closer to home I’ve been supporting local; check out Matheson Wine Bar in Richmond, Victoria and Salted Egg Melbourne or for a fun day out head to Gippsland, maybe lunch at Burra Brewing Co in Korumburra or for wine tasting with the best views try Gurdies Winery (they do Weddings too!).
I’m thankful I’ve had the opportunity to travel alot during my career, my favourite’s have been a holiday with family and friends on Fiji’s beautiful island of Kadavu , hiking in the French Alps and cruising on The Nile.
