Want to make the most of 2021 and the upcoming school and public holidays? Schedule your annual leave the right way, and you could end up with ten days off instead of three over Christmas! Read below to find out how.
In the Easter Holidays you can turn eight days into sixteen! If you take Saturday the 27th of March until Sunday the 11th of April off, you’ll have 16 days in total, but due to all the public holidays, you’ll only have to use eight days of annual leave. Schedule your leave from Monday the 29th of March to Thursday the 1st of April and then Wednesday the 6th of April until Friday the 9th of April.
Or just take ten days by having from the 2nd of April till the 11th of April off – just roster your annual leave from the 6th to the 9th of April.
Later in April, you could also have another three day break over Anzac Day. Or if that’s not enough, from Saturday the 24th of April till Sunday the 2nd of May gives you nine days off, and you only need to take four days leave (27th – 30th April).
In June and October, turn the long weekends into an easy nine days off. Simply take the four days off following each of the public holidays and enjoy the weekends either side.
And for a sought-after Christmas / New Year holiday, by taking Wednesday the 29th to Friday the 31st of December off, you can end up with ten days leave. You could even add an extra day and have Christmas Eve off. How nice would it be to have from the 24th of December till the 4th of January off?!
There you have it, an easy way to get extra days off to explore our beautiful country.
