Well Aloha Hawaii…
2017 was really my year for travel. I had just completed my first year as a travel agent and I love everything about the job… well everything except maybe some of the long days, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
I had never been to Hawaii before but man, if someone said to me now, Sarah let’s go to hawaii for the weekend. I wouldn’t even blink an eye! I’d have that ticket booked.
I flew with Jetstar direct from Melbourne. The flight is about 10hrs and you definitely need to buy the bundle with meals, bags and entertainment included otherwise it could have been one long journey.
My tip when flying regardless of where it is, biscuits and cheese are a must and so are Pringle’s!
I stayed for my first 3 nights at the Marriott and man that is a phenomenal property, rooms are clean, great size, bathrooms are a touch small but that’s okay.
I then moved to the Hilton Waikiki Beach, in a superior sea view room and man was it worth it. Watching the sun rise and set from the balcony over the sea is amazing! Also this hotel doesn’t charge any resort fees, has a good size pool and spa and a block back from the beach but within walking distance to everything.
We organised arrival and departure transfers and Uber’d our way around for the rest!
We did the paradise cove luau, pearl harbour and my favourite Kualoa Ranch.
We had great food, wings being an essential and also the Cheesecake Factory because dessert before dinner is always my moto!
