Travelling highlights!
Watching the changing of the guards at Constitution square in Athens at 1am when there was no-one else around. It was so peaceful you heard every order that was given, every shuffle of the guards traditional boot. The best little taverna on the beach recommended by a local on a Greek island that served the best sashimi – boy was he right!!! Ice-skating in London on Boxing Day, all rugged up, Xmas decorations everywhere, mulled wine sold on most corners (I don’t drink but gee I love the smell!!)
and the most rugged experience of all…… my highlight…….
Climbing a mountain – which I never thought I would ever do, after all, I’m a girlie girl, yet I found myself on top of Mt Sinai – the most spectacular thing I have ever done in my life! Watching the sun rise at that altitude, surrounded by a great group of travellers and some spiritual leaders chanting was surreal!
