Travel isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.
Hi, I’m Suzanne Kienzle, and I’d love to share a little of my story so you can truly know who you’re working with.
Firstly, who are you dealing with?
I am a Personal Travel Manager with TravelManagers Australia, a national network of experienced, home-based travel professionals.
That means you get the best of both worlds:
✔️ Personalised, one-on-one service from someone who owns and runs her own business
✔️ The buying power, technology, and support of a trusted Australian travel brand
I have the freedom to customise every itinerary while being backed by the strength of a national network.
Why Me?
When I was eight years old, my parents took me to Fiji. I fell in love instantly, the people, the culture, the feeling of being somewhere completely different. That trip changed everything.
On the flight home I announced to my dad:
“If I can’t be a zoologist and talk to gorillas all day, then I’m going to be a travel agent.”
Dad, being practical, took me to Taronga Zoo where a zoologist quickly informed me I’d likely spend the first six years shovelling… well… you can imagine.
Travel Agent it is!
Despite the doubts people sometimes have about the travel industry, I followed my drive and passion and more than 20 years later, I’m still here, still loving it, and still exploring.
My Travel Highlights
My life has been shaped by adventure. Some of my most unforgettable experiences include:
Travel has taken me across:
Africa – South Africa
Europe – France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Greece
Asia – Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Brunei, Indonesia
South Pacific – Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Australia
North America – Hawaii, West & East Coast USA, West Coast Canada
My History. Our Legacy.
Papua New Guinea and Kokoda hold a particularly special place in my heart.
My mother, Robyn Kienzle, authored the book The Architect of Kokoda about my grandfather, Captain Bert Kienzle the man who established the Kokoda Trail supply route. My father Soc Kienzle born and raised on the Kokoda Trail is an active historian & spokesperson who advocates for ‘setting the record straight’.
It’s a story of resilience, leadership and Australian history and yes, I’m still quietly campaigning for Eric Bana to play him in a future film adaptation!
Experience You Can Trust
Over two decades, I’ve worked in traditional bricks-and-mortar agencies, government organisations, and now as a business owner operating independently.
Travel advising isn’t just my career.
It’s my lifelong passion, shaped by family legacy, adventure, resilience, and a genuine love of helping people explore the world with confidence.
When you book with me, you’re not just booking flights and hotels.
You’re working with someone who has lived the adventure, understand the details, and genuinely cares about creating something extraordinary for you.
Supporting Local. Supporting Australian. Supporting You.
On this platform, we are all about supporting Australian businesses and that matters.
When you choose to book your travel with me, you’re not sending your money offshore to a global call centre. You’re supporting a locally owned Australian small business based in Cairns, Far North Queensland.
You’re supporting:
✔️ A Cairns family
✔️ The local economy
✔️ Australian jobs
✔️ A real person who knows your name
And most importantly you have someone in your corner.
If plans change, if flights are cancelled, if the unexpected happens while you’re overseas, you’re not on hold to an overseas call centre. You have direct access to me someone who knows your itinerary, your preferences, and what matters to you.
Travel is personal.
Service should be too.
