Arrive into Christchurch and collect your Thrifty car hire, make your way into the city and to your accommodation. Take the rest of the day to explore the city with its new developing precincts. The Riverside markets are a great attraction to locals and visitors alike.
Today you can journey out to discover more of Christchurch. A good way to navigate your way around is to jump on the Tram. This offers a hop on hop off circuit around the inner-city area. This afternoon take a short drive out of the city towards the Port Hills. From there you can take the Gondola ride up to experience stunning views over the city, Sunmer and the Lyttleton Harbour.
This morning is you will venture out of the city to the small seaside town of Akaroa. Join Black Cat Cruises for their Nature cruise out in the Akaroa Harbour, take a stroll around the village and enjoy some lunch in this beautiful French inspired town.
The afternoon is yours to explore. As you head back into the city maybe stop at the Cookie Time factory for some goodies to take home.
After a leisurely morning check out of your accommodation and head to the airport to drop your car off before departing for home.
