Resort Studio: Great value room for couples or friends, with queen or twin beds. Resort Studio Rooms are 32 square metres and have limited views of the rainforest. Air-conditioned rooms with ceiling fan, plasma TV, en-suite marble tiled bathroom with shower, tea and coffee facilities, small desk and mini bar fridge. Use of shared guest laundry and lifts to all floors. Sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
Island Suite: Luxuriously appointed spacious one bedroom suite with separate dining and balcony. Located on the ground floor and level 2, spacious one-bedroom suite, 71 square metres in size. Each Island Suite includes a generous balcony, kitchenette with microwave, toaster and full size fridge as well as tea and coffee facilities. Each suite is air-conditioned with ceiling fans in rooms, Queen Size bed, plasma TV, lounge and dining area, en suite black marble tiled bathroom. Use of shared guest laundry with lifts to all floors. Sleeps up to 4 (extra guests sleep on a sofa bed which may not be suitable for two adults).
Fitzroy was once part of mainland Australia. The island is largely untouched and a protected National Park, with walking tracks through the rainforest and beautiful beaches. Fitzroy is almost completely surrounded by coral reef, making it an excellent place for snorkelling. Fitzroy has a steep mountain and two main walking trails that lead to beautiful lookouts.
Location
Located 45 minutes from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Fitzroy Island is easily reached by regular ferry transfers on the air-conditioned Fitzroy Flyer.
