    Day 1

    Orange

Welcome to Orange! On arrival, you will be met at the airport or train station (or other pre-arranged point) and check into your boutique accommodation where you will have some time at leisure to freshen up and explore the town. This evening, set off to Printhie Wines, a family-owned premium award-winning cool-climate vineyard and a five star rated Halliday winery and cellar door. Here you will have an exclusive meet-the-maker experience, where you will learn about the history and style of wine produced in this area.

As the sun sets, get comfortable as you sip on Swift Sparkling which is made from the highest vineyards in New South Wales on the slopes of the extinct volcano, Mt Canobolas.

    Day 2

    Outback

This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing further inland. Today you will pass small rural communities supported mainly by sheep, wool and cattle farming.

You will visit a remote, true country style pub where you can enjoy a cold brew and toast to the weekend ahead and enjoy a countertop meal. Leaving the pub and its characters behind, you will take a short drive out to a private cattle farm. You will be met at the gate at of the property and hike into your remote and completely private campsite shaded by trees along a ribbon of river.

Learn how to set up your swag before enjoying a cold drink and some snacks, as the land turns golden with the setting of the sun over the hills. Dinner this evening is cooked for you over an open fire.

With dinner done, sit back and take part in the age old tradition of spinning a yarn around the campfire, as well as enjoying some traditional Australian bush poetry. If you’re feeling energetic, take the spotlights out for a walk to see what nocturnal critters you can spot.

Make sure you look up as you lay in your swag, as we guarantee the stars, away from the city lights, will blow your mind.

    Day 3

    Outback

Wake up to the sound of nature. Freshen up with a swim in the river before a cup of billy tea with breakfast.

Learn to make damper yourself, a skill to impress your friends with, as well as a way to remember the taste of the Aussie bush in the comfort of your own home.

This morning, set off for a leisurely hike of approx. three hours, as you aim to spot birdlife, iconic Australian wildlife and of course those friendly cows! Learn about the flora and fauna on your hike, before sitting down to enjoy a safari-style lunch set up for you in a remote location amongst nature.

Returning to camp in the afternoon, the remainder of the day is yours at leisure to go kayaking, fishing, birding or simply relax with a book.

Sundowners will be served this afternoon, as the sky changes colours on the horizon before another scrumptious camp meal.

    Day 4

    Orange

This morning, after another hearty breakfast, you will farewell your quiet place in nature as you head back towards Orange. You will stop at a working sheep station dating back to the 1930’s, where you will meet the friendly owners who will take you through the rustic shearing quarters and share their story of life as shearers.

Continuing on, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Orange where lunch is at leisure. Dinner this evening is an exciting fusion of Italian cuisine and Australian bush tucker. It may sound odd, however, both cultures work with what the land has to offer, making it an incredible experience.

You will be joined by a local Indigenous guide, who will share Dreamtime stories, culture and the history of colonisation in the region. Imagine dishes like Braised Wallaby Shanks marinated in saltbush and native pepper berry, cooked with bush tomato and some truffle-infused local honey… or perhaps, roasted wattleseed and macadamia waffles with Lilli Pilli cream and poached quandongs. Your mind will boggle at the unique flavours. Following dinner, with full belly and a wealth of fascinating knowledge, return to your hotel.

    Day 5

    Orange

This morning, enjoy your final breakfast at your hotel before you depart to the airport or train station for your onward journey.
