Cambodia – Temples and so much more

Angkor Wat is usually the first thing to come to mind when you think of Cambodia. It is of course an absolute must! Make sure your tour includes a sunrise visit; seeing the first rays of sunlight over the ancient temple is worth the early wake up call.

Siem Reap itself is a magical place. It’s full of cafès and French, Italian, Khmer (local cuisine) restaurants that rival any major city. There’s a constant buzz of activity with markets, music and visitors mingling around and of course having a drink at the famous Pub Street.

A great way to explore the countryside is with a guided quad bike adventure through rice fields and country roads. You see parts of Siem Reap that would not be possible in a vehicle. From ancient temples, local villages and wild pigs it is an unique, safe and memorable way to experience Cambodia

A short flight from Siem Reap is Otres 2 Beach; a beautiful, clean, family friendly beach. A row of small luxury boutique resorts line the beach, where you can enjoy amazing (and cheap) cocktails at the beach bars and swim in the crystal clear Bay of Thailand.  Top the day off with a beach massage, fresh seafood and snorkelling to the nearby islands; it is a great way to recover after exploring the temples.
