About me

Hello and thanks so much for visiting my website. A little about me… I have been working in the retail travel industry since 2003.

In my early days I considered myself a bit of a traveller making my way around Australia and the world doing whatever I could to make a buck and see the sights in between. My experiences are vast, from camping to 5 stars and everything in between. My travels have found me teaching crafts to kids in the USA on Summer Camp, checking tickets on the magnificent ski resort of Fernie, Canada. Working in a pub in the UK to picking fruit in outback NSW.

Finally deciding to settle down after 9 years of indulging in whatever the world could throw at me I felt it was time to get a ‘real job’ which has led me to where I am today. My first 7 years in the industry were spent in a retail agency specialising in student and youth travel where I gained valuable experience in all things travel including complex airfares which I still love doing today. I spent my last 2 years managing a branch of up to 7 staff before I made the leap over to TravelManagers in 2010 where I still am today and loving every minute of it!

Since joining TM’s I have built long lasting relationships with my loyal clients and take so much pride in where my business is today. I can’t imagine doing anything else and absolutely love what I do!

Where I've Travelled

I’ve visited some amazing places and still have so many many more countries to explore. Rather than provide a list of countries I’ve been to (you can see my map for that) I thought I’d give you a list of some of my more memorable travel experiences. Narrowing this list down to just 20 was tough, it’s a beautiful old world out there!

TOP 20 HIGHLIGHTS..

  • Hiking part of the Great Wall of China
  • Staying in a Ger Camp in Mongolia whilst travelling on the Trans Mongolian Railway through to Russia
  • Just being in Vladivostok, I mean who’s actually even been there, why was I even there?

  • Chicken busses through Belize
  • Staying on a privately owned island in Honduras, Caribbean

Destinations I'm Passionate About

USA – I’ve travelled this beautiful country extensively and love the huge array of diversity it has to offer. There really is something to be found for everyone in the quirky country that is America.

BALI – It’s just my ‘go to’ destination for an easy, quick getaway. Having visited this beautiful island many times and stayed in all areas I consider myself a bit of a Bali expert.

NZ – I was so fortunate to be invited to NZ in late 2019 to participate in the 100% Pure NZ Specialist Program which has now made me a certified expert of this remarkable and breathtaking slice of heaven!

FNQ – Tropical Far North QLD is my ‘go to’ destination when I want to holiday at home. I’ve visited many times and even lived in Port Douglas for a little while many years ago.

SINGAPORE – Having participated in the Singapore Destination Specialist program and visiting quite a few times I feel pretty clued up on this pocket rocket destination. Definitely no longer a ‘stopover’ destination anymore, this fab and full of fun country is a destination unto itself.

CRUISING – As a member of Cruiseco I am highly qualified in finding the right cruise for my clients.
