I’m based in Melbourne but originally from Perth
I love good food, good wine and of course, good coffee!

I’ve worked in various parts of the travel industry for over 23 years. I took off on my first solo travel adventure at age 22 on a one-way ticket to London. I didn’t make it home until nearly 3 years later having explored 48 countries.

Since starting my own travel business in 2017, one thing I constantly noticed was the limited options available for solo travellers. With many clients eager to explore the world but worried about going it alone.

There have been more obvious concerns about safety or managing the logistics (particularly if wanting to explore the lesser travelled tourist paths). But then there’s simply the desire to travel with other people for companionship. To not settle for sitting in a hotel room with a takeaway meal, but rather explore the lovely restaurant or wine bar down the road. To have someone to share the stories of the day with.

Of course, there are many tours available but no one wants to be the only solo amongst a sea of couples, right?

And so, SoloMade was born.

My desire is to offer small group hosted journeys that feel more like travelling with friends than being on “tour”. Where you can relax knowing the logistics are taken care of and where we focus on the experiences or destinations that you may otherwise skip if you went it alone.
