Oceania Cruises Spotlights 2027 Northern Europe itineraries

Destination-rich voyages across Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland, Greenland and Norway

Oceania Cruises is inviting travellers to uncover the rugged scenery, deep-rooted cultural traditions and lesser-known coastal corners of Northern Europe aboard its intimate, luxurious ships — an elegant and unhurried way to take in one of the continent’s most captivating regions.

The 2027 Northern Europe season sails aboard the line’s small ships — Oceania Insignia, Oceania Marina and Oceania Vista — and showcases the full sweep of the region, with calls spanning the Baltic and Scandinavia, the British Isles and Ireland, Greenland, Iceland and the Northern Fjords.

The line says the collection reflects its focus on destination-led cruising, with each itinerary built around Northern Europe’s long summer days, seasonal traditions and the ports that are best reached by sea.

Because the ships are compact, they can slip into harbours that often sit beyond the reach of larger vessels — among them Rosendal in Norway, Stornoway in Scotland, Seydisfjordur in Iceland and Karlskrona in Sweden — while still calling at landmark cities such as Copenhagen, Reykjavik and Stockholm.

On every sailing, guests can choose from a spread of shore excursions designed to bring the smaller ports to life through regional food, culture, history and time spent outdoors.

At Eidfjord in Norway, travellers can tap into the Hardanger region’s apple-growing heritage with a cider tasting set against the surrounding scenery. In Visby, Sweden, guests can join one of the line’s signature Culinary Discovery Tours, getting under the skin of Swedish farm-to-table cooking with visits to local farms and a seasonal lunch built around the island’s sustainable produce. And from Seydisfjordur, a 4×4 journey heads across the remote countryside of eastern Iceland to Brekka — the country’s smallest town — tucked along a narrow fjord ringed by waterfalls, seabirds and dramatic mountains.

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, said the voyages give travellers a memorable way to experience one of the world’s most in-demand regions at the best time of year to go. From Norway’s fjords to Scandinavia’s cultural capitals and the far-flung coastlines of Iceland and Greenland, he said, the itineraries are built for guests who want to see more of the region in a seamless, refined way — reaching places that can be harder to explore independently, all while unpacking just once.

The 2027 Northern Europe programme forms part of Oceania Cruises’ wider global offering, which spans more than 600 ports and over 250 individual itineraries a year. On board, guests can expect the line’s hallmarks: attentive, personalised service, a relaxed but polished adults-only setting, and what it bills as The Finest Cuisine at Sea.
