Oceania Cruises has announced the forthcoming debut of Oceania Sonata, the first vessel in its all-new Sonata Class, set to launch in 2027. This milestone marks a bold evolution for the brand as it continues to redefine contemporary luxury cruising.

As the ninth ship in its fleet, Oceania Sonata will accommodate approximately 1,390 guests and will be the first of four ships planned under the Sonata Class. Currently under construction by the renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, the ship will measure around 86,000 gross tonnes and introduce a fresh vision of spacious, elegant, and understated design.

The onboard aesthetic blends grand, light-filled public areas with serene, intimate spaces designed for relaxation. Every stateroom and suite will feature a private veranda, offering guests uninterrupted views of the sea and passing landscapes. Notably, 30 per cent of all accommodations will be suites, including two entirely new suite categories and redesigned Owner’s Suites.

Culinary excellence—a signature of Oceania Cruises—will be a highlight of Oceania Sonata. Guests can look forward to ten exceptional dining venues, including beloved favourites such as a fine French restaurant, a pan-Asian venue, an Italian dining room, and a classic steakhouse. These will be complemented by innovative new culinary concepts crafted exclusively for the Sonata Class.
