My first taste of adventure came at 21, when I jetted off to the USA on my very first solo trip. I started with a two-week Contiki tour along the West Coast, where I made lifelong friends, before continuing on to New York and exploring the East Coast on my own.
After returning home, I secured a working visa for the UK, where I lived for almost three years. During that time, I travelled extensively throughout Europe, and my passion for discovering new places, cultures, and experiences truly came to life. Shortly after returning to Australia, I met my husband, who was in Australia on a student visa from the Netherlands, and it quickly became clear that we shared the same love of travel and adventure.
Over the past 16 years, we’ve created countless memories exploring destinations around the world together. These days, our adventures include our two children, and one of the greatest joys of travelling as a family is being able to show them the world beyond their own backyard. We love exposing them to different cultures, traditions, and ways of life while teaching them to appreciate the diversity and beauty our world has to offer.

There are far too many incredible destinations to mention them all, but these are some of my personal favourites — places I truly believe everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Japan:
Is a destination that truly has something for everyone. From world-class skiing and snowboarding in winter to beautiful beaches, scuba diving, mountain hikes, and vibrant festivals throughout the year, every visit offers a completely different experience. Add in incredible food, ancient temples, efficient transport, and some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, and it’s easy to see why Japan captures so many hearts.
Whether you’re indulging in luxury shopping and fine dining, exploring hidden local gems, or making magical family memories at Tokyo Disney Resort and Universal Studios Japan, Japan is a country you’ll want to return to again and again — both with and without the kids.
Italy:
Italy is one of those destinations that captures your heart from the moment you arrive. Rich in history, culture, breathtaking scenery, and incredible cuisine, it’s the perfect destination for both solo travellers and families looking to create unforgettable memories together.

China is a destination I absolutely love returning to. One of the highlights for me is the breathtaking skyline of Shanghai — especially at night when the city lights up in spectacular fashion. Hawaii:
This place truly feels like heaven on earth. With its laid-back island vibe, rich culture, sparkling beaches, lush landscapes, active volcanoes, and incredible marine life, it’s a destination that instantly captures your heart. Add in world-famous surf breaks, fresh tropical flavours, and fantastic shopping, and it’s easy to see why so many people fall in love with Hawaii.
