I first stepped on a plane at just 16, travelling to Fiji for a holiday. The warmth of the Fijian people and the gentle rhythm of their music transported me to another world — and in that moment, my love for travel was born.
Inspired by that experience, I left school within weeks and began my career as a junior in a local travel agency. Many years later, with two children and close to three decades in the travel industry — including senior roles with New Zealand’s largest travel companies — I can honestly say I still love what I do.
Before relocating to Melbourne and then the Gold Coast, I was aligned with TravelManagers in New Zealand, making the transition to TravelManagers Australia a natural and seamless move.
Having travelled to 42 countries, I’m often asked to name a favourite destination. For me, every journey has been memorable in its own way. For unforgettable and awe-inspiring experiences: Egypt and Jordan. For sheer spectacle: Iguassu, Victoria and Niagara Falls. For the soul: Africa — it truly gets into your blood. For rest, rejuvenation and golf: Thailand. And for pure enjoyment: cruising, Europe, Canada and South America.
