I’m Rose Febo, an award-winning luxury travel advisor and CLIA Cruise Master based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, working with clients across Australia. I specialise in ultra-luxury and expedition cruising, Italy and Sardinia, African safari, Canada and Antarctica.

African safari. Accredited specialist with first-hand knowledge of camps and lodges across South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Tanzania.

Canada. Appointed by Destination Canada as its inaugural Radical Ambassador, covering the Rockies, Rocky Mountaineer, British Columbia and Alaska cruise pairings.

Antarctica and polar expedition. Small-ship voyages where the operator, season, cabin and ice-class matter more than the price.

Common questions

Do I need a travel advisor to book a luxury cruise?
For mainstream cruising, no. For ultra-luxury and expedition sailings, the difference between a good voyage and a disappointing one usually comes down to decisions made before you book: which ship, which season, which cabin category, which side of the vessel, and what you do either side of the sailing. Those decisions are what I am paid for.

Which cruise lines do you work with?
Silversea, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn, Ponant, Explora Journeys, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Scenic, Crystal, Oceania, Uniworld, Viking, Hurtigruten, Quark, Lindblad and Abercrombie & Kent, among others.

What is a CLIA Cruise Master?
The Cruise Lines International Association’s highest tier of advisor accreditation, requiring extensive training and verified first-hand ship experience. I hold it with double accreditation.

Are you only available to Queensland clients?
No. I am based on the Gold Coast and work with clients throughout Australia. Most planning happens by phone, email and video call.

Do you charge planning fees?
At Luxury & Lifestyle Travel, we charge a professional planning fee for the expertise, time and personalised service involved in designing your journey. Destinations I'm Passionate About

When it comes to my own travel habits, I am a bit of a gypsy and a nomad – I prefer to visit a new country or city, rather than go back to the same place twice.  But if I do, I will stay at a different hotel or resort, and try different sightseeing tours, to learn and experience something new.

When I’m travelling, I’m constantly on the move, experiencing new countries, cities, places, cultures, people and sights.  Having personally travelled to over 50 countries to date, I enjoy researching and exploring different places as a tourist myself, trying out different types of holidays, accommodation and modes of transport, so I can then share those experiences, and my first-hand product knowledge, with you!

To date, I’ve covered much of Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and the South Pacific, but my bucket list isn’t getting any smaller!  Each year, my goal is to visit at least one new country.  My favourite travel quote by St Augustine says it all – “the world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page”.

There have been many personal highlights along the way – such as visiting Machu Picchu and its ‘aura’, for that once-in-a-lifetime exhilarating experience and amazing views; searching for the Big 5 on African game drives; seeing the amazing Big Island in Hawaii after the Volcano erupted from a bird’s eye view in a helicopter, and feeling the adrenaline rush and exhilaration, when skiing the Gran Sasso, Abruzzo, Italy.

Having said that, I have a passion for cruising holidays too. I love the fact that I can unpack just the once for my entire holiday, wake up every other day in a different port, without having to catch another flight or a transfer, and not have to lift a finger – everything is done and provided for.  I’m waited on, hand and foot – bliss!  Cruises are great value-for-money too, including all of your accommodation, transportation, meals, onboard activities and entertainment.  The more luxurious the better1
