“We recently booked our holiday with Carl Retschlag who has been a travel agent for over 10 years now. What we found most pleasing was how he took the time to look into my many enquires, and help us when we wanted to vary itineraries or travel individually. We have just completed a most successful two week personal trip to China, which Carl organised, and then Carl helped us to include a 17 night cruise with Princess from Beijing back to Singapore. This was not an easy task, because I had very specific dates and places that I wanted to visit, plus my husband and I wanted to join up with the cruise in Beijing. Carl managed to organise the whole trip for us with the specific dates in mind, and it was a most successful holiday. And just to challenge Carl's abilities again, there are four of us who wish to travel to Canada in June next year. The wife of one of the couples has a disablility, and will be travelling with a wheelchair, so I have asked Carl if he can possibly organise airfares, Rocky Mountaineer travel, a suitable short tour, plus a cruise to Alaska, all suitable for someone wheelchair bound. He has managed to do this for us, and we are all extremely impressed, because this is not an easy thing for any travel agent to do. (Too difficult for some travel agents, as my friends found out.............). We would personally recommend Carl to anyone who wants an efficent, courteous, pleasant, travel agent who will pay attention to what YOU want to do, and make every effort to accommodate your every need regarding your holiday, whether it be a weekend in Sydney or 6 months travelling the world.”

“Hi Carl, We are now in UK. I thought you might like a quick report on our African trip. Firstly let me say that it was fantastic, and quite beyond expectations, Megan rates it as her best ever and I couldn't argue with that. The whole trip went without a hitch, every where we stayed was excellent and all the transfers etc. went like clockwork. The journey started well when we were upgraded to a Club room at the Pan Pacific in Perth, plenty of food and drink, it only got better. The Shandrani Resort is excellent, as are all the other places we stayed, Londolozi Granite suites which I would score eleven out of ten was quite exceptional. We were very fortunate with our game drives and even saw sights that our very experienced Tracker had never seen, like a pride of seven Lions pursuing a Leopard which managed to escape up a tree. We really enjoyed our stay at Sun City, the service was impeccable and we were plied with Champagne, wine, and far more food than we could eat. The Rovos train was great as was Elephant Camp, I would score each 9+, and 8+ for Palazzo Monte Casino. They might all have scored a ten had we not been to Londolozi first. All our long distance drivers were excellent, safe, polite and personable. As you can see we were totally enamoured by our journey and would like to say a big thank you to you for all your care and attention. We by the way also had perfect weather for the whole of our time in Africa.”

We all arrived on schedule at Singapore airport. every courier arrived on time, and delivered us to every destination, as you scheduled. We had a most wonderful table just for four right near the window on the ship, and were able to catch up, it was all so beautiful. We even got our early dinner sitting. In fact we had everything we could have dreamed of. We joined in on all the evening shows, spent time at the casino, listened to all the educational talks. After the evening shows, there was never a dull moment. Then of course there were all the Ports to do and all in all with all the food and eating, my mind is a blurr, but it is all tucked away in my memory bank and will always be a memorable occasion for all of us. So a big thankyou for the most efficient way in which you made planning for our cruise so simple.”

“Hey Carl, Our trip on the HAL’s Eurodam to the Mediterranean was very enjoyable, many exciting ports, and port intensive so we were never bored! The hotel in Barcelona Serhs Rivoli Rambles Hotel was in a great position, allocated was right on the Rambles. The ship the “Eurodam” was lovely, and the shining star on HAL ships is the staff, very very customer focused, always a good morning, or a good afternoon and no problems there. Thank you for selecting the Metrople in Venice, wow, just stunning, so much history, and I loved that we had a canal right by our window, so we could watch people float by. We had breakfast included and it was delicious. Venice is so, so busy during the day, but lovely at night, cooler and easier to walk around. We visited Murano, Burano and Lido for the beach, so we made use of our days there.”

“Hello Carl, Just a note to thankyou for the wonderful co-ordination for our trip. Got back to Sydney yesterday and I must report pick up service at all destinations was outstanding. The pick up in Barcelona was magnificant being the First Class leg. Two beautiful black Mercedes E350’s pulled up to pick us up. The drivers were not worried at all about 2 cars being ordered. Gee we felt like movie stars. First class was beyond fantastic. We enjoyed the Dom, loved the dates & Egyptian Coffee, caviar and vodka shots to have on the side. We could order our meal whenever we wanted on the lovely china, no plastic anywhere in sight. Staff really lovely. The cruise was sensational, balcony cabin very, very nice. Staff also amazing. The sea was like a swimming pool the entire 24 days, so couldn’t have ordered anything better. How wonderful to go to bed at night and wake up at another port every morning. Loved Corsica, Monte Carlo and the Greek Islands most of all. Accommodation in Venice was a wonderful location and the drop off/pickup from the canal was the best. Accommodation in Barcelona was also a great location. Dubai at the Marriott was absolutely beautiful, I think we were upgraded to a suite, sensational and people very friendly. So back to reality now – a trip of a lifetime. Your faultless service has been beyond my wildest dreams. Knowing everything was set in place was a comforting feeling. Seeing one’s name on a board was something else. So again, Carl, thank you so very much,”

“Hi Carl, We have been home a few days now & I wanted to let you know that we all had a wonderful holiday & thank you for your expert organization. The hotel in Barcelona although old, was in the perfect location for all our sightseeing, dining & shopping needs. It was a fantastic 3 days before starting the cruise. With great excitement we boarded the Royal Princess & from that moment every day was amazing. Tony & I have been on Star Ships, Holland America Line & MSC, but by far the Princess cruise was the best. The staff & food were excellent & we would not hesitate to cruise with them again. The entertainment has been slightly better on other cruises but that is only a small criticism. Evon & Alan loved it as well. We were a bit anxious after raving about cruising, but they had a ball. Hotel Melia in Athens was very nice indeed & the rooftop pool & restaurant with an amazing view of the Acropolis was the icing on the cake. Our last night in that restaurant was the perfect end to our holiday. Tony & I want to thank you for your extremely professional organization of our trip. Every detail was taken care of & we will be in touch with you for our future trips. We have also recommended you to quite a few friends who are travelling in the future.”

“We have been booking our holidays with Carl Retschlag ever since he has been with Travel Managers and, we have found Carl to be very efficient, caring, courteous, friendly and, he certainly knows his stuff! Last week, we asked Carl to quote for a Business Class airfare with Emirates. Carl not only checked the Emirates’ airfares, he took the trouble and time to check airfares with other airlines to do a comparison. Carl then quoted Emirates and Qatar Airways airfares, for the same dates, but with a saving of $1500/pp if we flew with Qatar Airways. Guess who we are flying with!! Then we asked Carl to quote for a hotel room with a sea view which he did. However, when the hotel sent through their confirmation, it turned out that the price quoted was for a side sea view. Carl was very unhappy about this situation and took the matter up with his supplier and managed to get us the sea view room for the quoted price. These are just two examples as to why we always book with Carl and, will continue to do so. A Travel Agent like Carl’s calibre is very hard to find and, we are not going to lose him. Carl listens to his clients' needs and, he will always do his best to fulfil their needs. We would personally recommend Carl to anyone and, we have recommended him to all our family and friends, many of whom are now his clients. Keep up the good work Carl.”
