Seamless travel is never accidental. It comes from listening well, planning carefully and caring long after the booking is made.

Hi, I’m Michelle Nicholas, Personal Travel Manager with TravelManagers Australia – lifelong traveller, mum of two, wife, trekker, skier, bike rider, triathlon lover and very new golfer – any activity that involves the great outdoors.

I create tailor-made itineraries for clients who prefer their travel handled without the stress of piecing every detail together themselves.  Some come to me with a clear destination in mind.  Others arrive as blank canvases, knowing they would like something special but not quite sure where to begin. That’s where I can help.

Alongside leisure travel, I also support clients with corporate travel, where precision, responsiveness and reliability are critical.  From co-ordinating multi-sector itineraries and managing last-minute changes, I understand what’s required to keep business travel running smoothly and with minimal disruption.

My love of travel started early, watching my Grandmother board the big ships at Sydney Harbour in the 80’s and return weeks later with stories and trinkets from faraway places. That sense of wonder stayed with me.

At 16, I began my career at Westpac Travel. Since then, I’ve worked across travel agencies and Air New Zealand, and later ran my own gift store for the better part of eight years.  This deepened the part of my work I value most: personal service, genuine care and listening to customer’s needs.

I have a particular love for trekking, ski travel, small group travel and adventure travel, alongside classic leisure holidays, honeymoons, family trips and tailored escapes.

Here are a few strengths I bring to my clients:

• A listen first approach that turns loose ideas, interests and “I don’t know where to start” moments into considered itineraries.
• A steady hand when plans change. Travel has its challenges and when there are problems, I don’t hide, I knuckle down and work hard to ensure the client’s travels are sorted.
• The kind of care I would want for my own family’s holiday, with every detail treated thoughtfully, honestly and as seamless as possible.

When I’m not planning someone else’s adventure, I’m usually chasing one of my own. Travelling and adventure with like-minded people all keep me connected to the kind of travel I love most: active, meaningful and full of stories and memories that last forever.
