Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, having cleared immigration, collected your luggage and passed through customs, please make your way towards the exit of the terminal building where you will see a bank of people waiting for you. Amongst them will be a Travel Sapphire Representative who will be waiting to greet you with a paging board with your name on it.
You will be escorted to your hotel in Negombo.
The town of Negombo is situated on the shore of a lagoon. It has been an important trading port for both the
Dutch and the Portuguese in the years past. It is a beautiful seaside resort on the western part of the island of Sri Lanka. The best part is that it is just a short drive from Colombo and offers an amazing coastline lined with palms to its visitors. The natural beauty of the beach is truly breathtaking; besides it is not as busy as crowded as the capital.

Later, travel by surface to Sigiriya.
Enroute, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a home for about 60 elephants (out of which around 50 are baby elephants) found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared for, fed and trained by the wildlife authority.
The best time for your visit is in the morning, when you will have the opportunity of seeing these ‘babes’ being bottle-fed. You could also see the elephants having their daily baths at a river close by.
Later, visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa
(477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70-hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens
including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the
“Heavenly Maidens” of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway.

Later, visit the ancient town of Polonnaruwa.
Polonnaruwa – a “World Heritage Site” was the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th – 13th Centuries, contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatilaka, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest Image Houses and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Rankoth Vehera and Kirivehera are well preserved large stupas, and Gal Vihare – a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are examples of Sinhalese stone carver.
Evening, enjoy 4×4 Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park.
Minneriya National Park, 8889 hectares in extent and known for its large population of elephants in herds of
100 to 150 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake. Wild elephants, wild buffaloes,
wild boar, spotted deer, sloth bear, Sambhar, crocodiles, jackals, 9 kinds of amphibians, 25 kinds of reptiles,
160 species of birds, 26 varieties of fishes, 78 varieties of butterflies are recorded to be inhabitants.
Rest of the day is at leisure.

Later, travel by surface to Kandy.
En-route visit, Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla Cave Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site and dates to 1st century BC. Originally it was the refuge of King Walagamba, and the caves were later converted into a rock temple. It has five caves under a vast overhanging rock, the ceilings of the caves are painted with complex patterns of religious images .The caves are the finest storehouse of Sinhala art and sculptures consists of an imposing 15-metre-long reclining Buddha, 150 statues of the Buddhist order, statues of Kings and Hindu deities etc.
Later, visit Matale Spice Garden.
Matale Spice Gardens are among the best on the island. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. A processing and training unit has been set up in the area and farmers are grouped in a cooperative to ensure fair prices and you will also be able to purchase spices.
Upon arrival in Kandy, transfer to the hotel.
Kandy is the last capital of Sri Lanka. It is amongst hilly terrain and in the center of the city houses the most
charming Kandy Lake. City lies at an elevation of 465 meters above sea level. Kandy was last home for Kandyan Kings of yore in 19th century and fountain for all music, arts, crafts and culture in the country.
Later, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
This temple houses a tooth relic of the Lord Buddha and is consequently considered one of Sri Lanka’s most
holy shrines. Although you may not view the actual tooth itself, the casket within which it is said to be is
displayed twice a day.

• Since this is a religious site – the footwear should be removed before entering the temple premises. You
can wear socks if you wish to.
Later in the evening, enjoy Cultural Dance Show.
The Cultural Dance Show is a stimulating Sri Lankan Arts, Dance & Cultural Heritage Show that is a must see
for any visitor who visits the historic city of Kandy. It is the first Cultural Dance Show of its kind to be established in Sri Lanka.

Later, enjoy the city tour of Kandy including Kandy upper Lake viewpoint, lake round, Gem Museum and Local markets.

Evening, enjoy The Grand Randoli Perahera celebrations and witness the procession in Kandy.
The Grand Randoli Perahera is a vibrant and elaborate procession that marks the conclusion of the Kandy
Esala Perahera in Sri Lanka. It’s a significant cultural and religious event, attracting thousands of spectators to Kandy, the city of the sacred Tooth Relic. The Randoli Perahera, which means “palanquin procession,” is
celebrated after the Kumbal Perahera for five consecutive nights, and the Maha Randoli Perahera, the most
grand, is the final procession.

Enroute visit to Ramboda Falls, Tea Plantation and Tea Factory.
Visit to Tea plantation and Tea factory where one the best tea in the world is produced. You will be explained
all about the process of processing tea and gain first-hand experience. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea which
begins its journey as raw green leaves in the hills and ends up as a final golden-brown graded product which
we all but know too well.
Also, enjoy tea plucking season at the plantation with local workers.
Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, transfer to the hotel.
Nuwara Eliya, the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys,
Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is just like an English spring
day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.
Later visit Nuwara Eliya City, Gregory Lake, Old post office and Victoria Park.
Lake Gregory sometimes also called Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in the heart of the tea
country hill city of Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was created during the period of British Governor
Sir William Gregory in 1873.
Old Post Office the Nuwara Eliya Post Office is a historic landmark in Sri Lanka, built in 1894 during the British colonial era. It is a two-story red brick building with a striking Tudor-style design and a clock spire, making it a visually appealing and significant architectural feature of the town.
Victoria Park is a public park located in Nuwara Eliya, next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office in Sri Lanka.
Originally the park was the research field of Hakala Botanical Garden. The park was formally named in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The park was established with the planting of its first tree, an Oak, by a visiting German Princess.

Later, transfer to Nanu Oya railway station to board the scenic train ride to Ella.
Board a local train for a journey through the hill country. A ride by local train to little England is one of the
most picturesque rail journeys in the world! You journey through dark tunnels on winding tracks, the famous
Ceylon Tea. The rolling mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing
streams and tumbling waterfalls.
Visit the Nine Arches Bridge.
Nine Arches Bridge is in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area has
seen a steady increase in tourism due to the bridge’s architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the
nearby hillsides. Popular rumors suggest that when construction work commenced on the bridge, the Great
War began between the empires of Europe and the steel assigned for this site was reallocated to Britain’s War related projects at the battlefront. As a result, the work came to a standstill, leading the locals to build the bridge with stone bricks and cement, but without steel.
Later, travel by surface to Yala.
Yala National Park is Sri Lanka’s most renowned national park and is famous for Elephant, Leopard, Bear,
Crocodile and Wild Boar. Claims have subsequently been made that Yala National Park has the world’s highest concentration of leopards per square kilometer. This park is primarily shrub jungle with several salt and freshwater lagoons. The areas popular with leopard are rock strewn hillocks with dense shrub in which the animals hide.

Morning, enjoy Jeep Safari in Yala National Park.
Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted deer, peacocks, and crocodiles. The best time to visit Yala is between February and July when the water levels of the park are quite low, bringing animals into the open.
Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, travel by surface to Bentota.
En-route, enjoy the city tour of Galle visiting Galle fort, Clock Tower, Light House, Old Dutch Streets &
Rampart.
Galle said to be the famous Tarshish of the Bible is the Port where the Portuguese first landed in Sri Lanka.
Fortified by the Dutch who ruled maritime Sri Lanka in the 17th and 18th centuries, the city still retains the air
of old Holland. Old Dutch Churches and monuments with armorial bearings, well preserved Fort, and ramparts, imposing crested and monogrammed gateway dated 1669, many well-preserved Old Dutch houses and narrow alleys still bearing Dutch names. As for souvenirs, one may make a pick of exquisite hand-made lace, Ivory carvings, moonstone jewellery and beautiful translucent tortoise shell ware, including bracelets, trinket boxes, and combs – sometimes inlaid with silver.
The Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European
occupiers. The fort is a living monument, inhabited by a bustling community, within the great ramparts,
massive bastions and pepper pot towers. The once sleepy Galle Fort is now a dynamic area with a distinctively Mediterranean atmosphere.
Upon arrival in Bentota, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Most of the best things to do in Bentota, like water
sports and taking a boat trip down the Bentota River (Bentara Ganga), revolve around the water—but there
are plenty of other things on offer, too, including visiting nearby temples, feasting on local food, and catching a picture-postcard Indian Ocean sunset.

Later, proceed for sightseeing tour of Colombo visit Galle face Green, BMICH, Independent Square, Local
Bazaars.
Enjoy a walk along the promenade of the Galle Face Green overlooking the Indian Ocean. Continue past the
Dutch Hospital complex dating back to the Dutch colonial era, now a heritage building and a shopping and
dining precinct. Experience hustle and bustle of the commercial area of the Fort.
Drive past the noisy bazaar area of Pettah or Pitakotuwa as the locals call it. Visit the Fort Railway station
opened in 1917 and to-date functions as the central station for Colombo.
Drive past Slave Island, Beira Lake in the heart of the city, Viharamahadevi Park, the Town hall and Cinnamon
Gardens, Colombo residential area. Conclude your tour at the Independence Square, a monument built at the location where the ceremony marking the end of British rule in Ceylon took place on 4th February 1948.
Later, visit The Temple of Gangaramaya. It is one of the most important Buddhist temples in all of Sri Lanka.
The temple is built on an island that is connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge. The temple’s
architecture demonstrates an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture.
Visit the Colombo Lotus Tower. Standing at the height of 356 m, this tower is the tallest tower is South Asia,
11th tallest tower is Asia and 19th tallest tower in the world. The tower basically serves as a transmission center for television and radio. Besides the communication and transmission activities, the tower also houses banquet halls, museums, shopping complexes etc. A visit to the observatory deck is a must as it offers exception view of the city.

TravelManagers brings about a direct contractual relationship between you, the customer, and each Principal. Subject to these booking conditions TravelManagers will perform our services with reasonable care and skill.
TravelManagers does not guarantee the performance of the services offered by the Principals and we will not be liable in the event that you suffer loss, injury or disappointment by reason of any acts or failings of any Principal. In such case your remedy will lie against the Principal.
The brochures (including e-brochures) which we supply to you are the brochures of the Principals and that the statements and representations contained in such brochures are not ours but are made by the Principals. We accept no liability for any errors, inaccuracies or misrepresentations contained in such brochures.
Your travel arrangements will also be subject to the Principals’ terms and conditions including limits on liability and conditions of carriage. You are responsible for reading the Principals’ terms and conditions before paying for your booking or reservation.

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, TravelManagers will not be liable for any loss or damage, injury, delay, inconvenience, or expense caused by a Principal. TravelManagers will not be liable for events beyond its control or the control of the Principals including, without limitation, strikes, accidents, pandemics or outbreaks of infectious diseases, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances or force majeure (Acts of God).
TravelManagers may receive fees, commissions, gifts or financial incentives from the Principals and other third parties in relation to your travel arrangements.
We recommend that you take out a travel insurance policy at the time you pay for your travel. You should ensure that such insurance will protect you against medical expenses arising from sickness or injury during your travel and protect you against loss or damage to your belongings. The Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade also strongly recommends you take out travel insurance.
If your travel arrangements involve group travel or a group event it is your responsibility to ensure you have travel insurance which is suitable for and covers those travel arrangements. You warrant that you have made appropriate enquiries and sought advice on your specific travel insurance requirements.
Please note that some credit card providers will provide the card holder with travel insurance. Where you are paying for all or any part of the services arranged through us by credit card and you intend to use travel insurance provided by the credit card provider you acknowledge that TravelManagers has offered you travel insurance and that you waive any claim against TravelManagers in respect of any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of you failing to take out any or adequate travel insurance.
Prices for travel services, including transportation, hotels and tour packages, are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Such changes may be due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to changes in supplier costs or currency fluctuations. You may be required to pay any additional amounts resulting from these changes.
If payment has not been made by the specific date which TravelManagers will advise you, your bookings may be cancelled. Payments may be made by direct deposit or cheque. If you wish to pay by credit card it is necessary to check with us first as some airfares and package holidays cannot be paid for by credit card. In certain circumstances your credit card will be charged by the Principal. In these instances, you authorise TravelManagers to pass on your credit card details to the Principal. Credit Card payments may incur surcharges.
TravelManagers will add an additional surcharge to payments made by credit card. Please check with us for current charges. When your credit card is processed by TravelManagers you agree to not have your payment ‘charged back’ or reversed by your credit card provider where the services have been provided. Payments can be made via BPAY. They can be made directly from your savings/cheque account. All cheques must be made payable to TravelManagers Australia Pty Limited.

Under no circumstances will TravelManagers accept cash payments, nor should payments be made to any other bank account.
TravelManagers will not be liable for any loss caused by a failure of a tour manager or tour wholesaler to make payments to TravelManagers for reservations for airfares and services made on behalf of a tour group or any individual traveller.
5.1 Cancellation fees
If you cancel a confirmed reservation or booking the Principal is likely to charge you a cancellation fee. Further, some tickets may be non-refundable or non-transferable. It is important to check the position with us before you confirm arrangements and/or before you cancel any confirmed reservations. Please read the Principal’s special conditions in relation to your travel arrangements.
In addition to any cancellation fee charged by a Principal, if a confirmed reservation or booking is cancelled for any reason (including but not limited to a cancellation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic or a force majeure event), TravelManagers will retain its commission paid and/or service fee charged in respect of the travel arrangements. You acknowledge that the retention by TravelManagers of the commission and/or service fee is fair remuneration for the work done by TravelManagers in arranging your travel arrangements.
5.2 Changes to bookings or reservations
If you wish to change a confirmed reservation or booking you are likely to incur fees. In some cases, it may not be possible to change a reservation or booking or to cancel or it may be uneconomic for you to do so. You should always check the cost before requesting changes to your travel arrangements. Please read the terms and conditions of the Principals which apply to your travel arrangements.
Unless otherwise stated in your costings and itinerary document in addition to any fee charged by a Principal, TravelManagers will charge you a fee to process an amendment to a confirmed booking or reservation based on the rate of $50.00 per hour plus GST. There is a minimum fee of $25.00 plus GST.
5.3 Refunds
If your travel arrangements are cancelled for any reason (including force majeure) after you have paid, no refund will be available to you until TravelManagers receives the monies from the Principal involved. In most cases, the Principal will charge a cancellation fee and in some instances you may not be able to claim a refund.
TravelManagers is not responsible for any delays by a Principal in processing a refund. You should be aware that airlines may take a significant amount of time to process a refund.
Should the price of an airfare, cruise or tour be reduced after you have made payment your right to a refund (if any) is governed by the terms and conditions which apply to the airfare, cruise or tour as determined by the airline, cruise line or tour operator.
Unless otherwise stated in your costings and itinerary document in addition to any fee charged by a Principal, TravelManagers will charge you a fee to process a refund request based on the rate of $50.00 per hour plus GST. There is a minimum fee of $25.00 plus GST.
TravelManagers earns commissions and/or charges service fees in making your travel arrangements. TravelManagers reserves the right to retain the commissions and service fees that is earned on your booking from any refund should your booking be cancelled for any reason (including for force majeure).
Prior to confirming your travel arrangements, you should check your passport and establish that it will remain current for the entire period of your travel. Certain countries require that your passport remains valid for a period of up to twelve months after the date upon which you are scheduled to leave such country. You may be denied entry to a country if your passport expires within 12 months. You should clarify visa requirements with the Embassies of the countries that you plan to visit as certain countries may require you to take out a visa dependent on whether you are travelling on an Australian or a foreign passport. The authorities in some countries (including The USA) require holders of Australian passports to take out a visa for entry into their country where the traveller has been sentenced or imprisoned or been convicted of certain types of criminal offence. A visa may be required where a contagious disease or a serious health problem exists. It is the responsibility of each member of the travelling party to ensure that they have a valid passport and the necessary visa/s for the destinations to be visited.
Re-entry visas will/may be required for travellers leaving Australia holding a foreign passport. If you hold a foreign passport then it is your responsibility to make your own enquiries and satisfy yourself as to the position in regard to your passport and/or visa requirements before leaving Australia.
Certain countries and Principals require that travellers be vaccinated against specific infection (including but not limited to COVID vaccinations) and/or diseases. TravelManagers strongly recommends that you check with your doctor and the embassies of countries to which you are travelling to with respect to any health requirements.
As Governments and Principals start to open and accept clients their requirements for Covid vaccinations, PCR Tests and other requirements are constantly evolving. Whilst your personal travel manager may assist you in navigating these travel requirements you are ultimately responsible for all medical and travel-related documentation required by state, federal or international authorities that allow entry or exit into their state, territory, return to Australia or overseas travel from Australia to another country. You should ensure that you have satisfied yourself that you have all the required documents before booking your travel and keep yourself up to date on any changes to these requirements.
If provided by you, you authorise TravelManagers Australia to store a copy of all relevant COVID vaccination certificates and forward a copy to any Principals as reasonably required.
You acknowledge that your failure to produce a copy of a valid COVID vaccination certificate may lead to your booking being cancelled and as a result, you may incur cancellation fees which will be subject to the Principals’ terms and conditions as well as the fee’s outlined in clauses 5.2 and 5.3.
We have exercised care in putting together the arrangements requested by you in regards to your travel and accommodation. It is important that you check all of the documentation handed to you in relation to your proposed travel and accommodation to ensure that it fully meets with your requirements and to ensure that there have been no misunderstandings. All documents, in relation to international travel, must be issued in the name of the passport holder. You may be denied carriage if the name varies.
9.1 We strongly recommend that you contact your airline prior to any travel to ensure that the scheduled departure time has not changed.
9.2 We strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with current travel advisories/information from smartraveller.gov.au before you travel.
9.3 Payment of any excess baggage charges is the Traveller’s sole responsibility.
9.4 Carry on baggage is subject to security rules on the carriage of various items. It is your responsibility to check with the relevant authorities.
10.1 TravelManagers accepts no responsibility for any loss, cost or expense that arises or is incurred by the customer to the extent that it arises or is incurred directly or indirectly as a result of any booking made by, or on behalf of, the customer independently of TravelManagers.
10.2 Mobility and fitness
Before confirming your travel arrangements, it is your responsibility to inform your Personal Travel Manager of any medical conditions, mobility concerns, or dietary restrictions. While we are committed to fulfilling your needs, you acknowledge that certain suppliers may encounter limitations in service availability.
10.3 Travelling with children
Minimum age requirements may apply to specific travel services, such as cruise travel. Additionally, legal regulations govern the travel of children without one or both parents or legal guardian, with specific guidelines enforced by airlines, cruise lines, and various countries. It is essential you inform your Personal Travel Manager if you are travelling with children. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary permission for the child’s travel and provide the documents to TravelManagers Australia if required. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in denied boarding or other travel-related consequences.
10.4 Advice for pregnant travellers
If you’re pregnant and planning to travel, it is your responsibility to research your destination before you go. We encourage you to consult your doctor and understand any potential risks that may arise. Airlines and cruise lines have specific rules on when you can travel while pregnant. Please advise your Personal Travel Manager before committing to your travel arrangements about the rules or restrictions that could affect your travel plans.
