    Day 1

    Arrive Christchurch

    Arrive into Christchurch and collect your car hire. On the edge of the airport precinct is the International Antarctic Centre. Head in there to explore the storm room, interactive designs, unlimted 4D shows and Hagglund ride. From there make your way into the city and to your first night’s accommodation. Start exploring the vibrant city that is Christchurch straight away

    Day 2

    Christchurch to Dunedin

    Today you will travel south, down the coast to the city of Dunedin. It’s recommended to stop in just south of Oamaru to see the Moeraki Boulders. An Icon rock formation that is scattered across a local beach, the only access is at low tide. Dunedin, the Edinburgh of New Zealand, this town is home to some stunning architecture, breweries, art, fashion and wildlife. This city might surprise you.

    Day 3

    At Dunedin

    Climbing aboard with Monarch Cruises you will cruise the length of the Otago Harbour, seeing the Careys Bay historic fishing village, Port Chalmers’ busy wharves and the harbour’s beautiful bays, hills, farmland, and forest. Enjoy Monarch’s fascinating Wildlife Cruise around Taiaroa Head and the surrounding coastline of dramatic cliffs. There is a great chance you’ll see NZ Furseals at play, Royal Albatross flying nearby, penguins and petrels and other marine life like some of the local dolphins.

    Once you are back to land your guide will retell stories of sea creatures and early settlers as you bus along the scenic roads of the Otago Peninsula.

    Day 4

    Dunedin to Queenstown

    Continuing your New Zealand holiday, you will arrive into Queenstown. Approximately 4 hours drive from Dunedin this alpine town is set on the edge of Lake Wakatipu and at the base of The Remarkables.

    This afternoon take a trip up the Gondola to Bob’s Peak and look out across Lake Wakatipu, The Remarkables, Cecil and Walter Peak. The almost 360 degree views at spectacular any time of day. While up there have a go on the luge track for so added fun.

    Day 5

    At Queenstown

    It’s a thrilling and fun ride as you power out of Queenstown across the glacial waters of Lake Wakatipu onto the mighty Kawarau River, enjoy unique photo opportunities as you jet around The Remarkables mountain range, with high cliffs, shallow waters willows, 360 degree spins and so much more.     Day 6

    At Queenstown

    Today you are heading out on the lake, cruise across Lake Wakitipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on the famous TSS Earnslaw. Join in the popular and entertaining farmyard tour which includes sheep-dog and sheep shearing demonstrations, plus afternoon tea at the Colonel’s Homestead.

    Day 7

    Queenstown to Lake Tekapo

    After a leisurely morning depart Queenstown for your journey north. Travel into the Mackenzie region for your overnight stay at Lake Tekapo. This small village boasts glorious view of the lake and surrounding mountain ranges. The historic Church of the Good Shepard is a popular photo stop on the way into town. Tonight, enjoy a relaxing soak under the stars at the Tekapo Springs hot pools.

    Day 8

    Lake Tekapo to Christchurch

    For your final leg, you are heading north back to Christchurch. Once back in Christchurch take the rest of the afternoon to explore the reimagined CBD including the new Farmers markets and restaurants that line the banks of the Avon River.

    Day 9

    Depart Christchurch

    Have a relaxing morning before checking out of your accommodation and heading for the airport to return your carhire and board your flight.
